Dr. Siraj Bashir is well-known in Pakistan's fields of social policy and community development. He has made significant contributions through his extensive research and academic work. He currently serves as Director of Research at BTTN Balochistan. Dr. Bashir completed his Ph.D. from the University of Karachi in 2018. His doctoral dissertation focused on social policy for social development in Pakistan. Since 2018, he has enhanced his academic endeavours by teaching at esteemed universities, including the University of Karachi and the University of Balochistan, Quetta. He has published over 35 research papers in national and international journals, focusing on socioeconomics, social policy, climate change, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), youth development, and Baloch and Balochistan. He is also the editor of the BTTN Journal and a member of the editorial boards of 12 national and international journals. Dr. Siraj also served six years in national and international non-governmental organizations. Dr. Bashir writes opinion articles for esteemed publications like Observer Pakistan, Balochistan Express, Daily Azadi, and Eurasia Review.
