Dr. Moonis Ahmar is former Chairman, Department of International Relations; former Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Meritorious Professor of International Relations at the University of Karachi. He is also Director, Program on Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution. His field of specialization is conflict and security studies focusing on the South and the Central Asian regions. Dr. Ahmar has 36 years of academic experience in Pakistan and in different foreign universities and research think tanks.
