2025 is being marked as a year in which there are many conflicts, especially between states, as a full-scale war. Pakistan has been a diplomatic war since May 2025 against India on the international forum for the better reputation of the state and after the high-intensity operations against terrorism and militancy in Pakistan, and coming out of the FATF grey list.

Pakistan is rising once again in the global political spectrum the attention of US, European Union, and many more countries towards Pakistan, especially in regards of peace making in south Asia and Middle Eastern region hold a very important role this shows Pakistan’s importance in the present day global politics as Pakistan got highlighted after Indo-Pak war in May 2025.

Pakistan’s diplomatic handling of the Indo-Pak and Iran-Israel conflicts has boosted its international standing.

Pakistan’s role in the Iran-Israel conflict in collaboration with the USA and nominating Donald Trump for a noble peace prize is also one of the highlighted points for the new global super powers and the Pak-US alliance that started after the successful visit of Pakistan’s Army Chief to Washington which turned out to be a very positive visit for the reputation of Pakistan. The US-Pak alliance is not welcomed by Indian policy makers who are constantly criticizing Trump and his new policies of preferring Pakistan over India in every aspect of global politics.

Donald Trump wants collaboration with Pakistan to keep a hold on South Asia. If the USA loses its hold on South Asia, it is clear that in the presence of 2 regional hegemons like India and China. The USA does not want Pakistan to side with China in both traditional and non-traditional paradigms, which is not that easy. If we look at the present political situation and economic investments of China in Pakistan, and the military arms and machinery supplies shows that Pakistan can’t be on one side because of the dependence factor, but it can balance both Pak-US and Sino-Pak relations equally in the current world politics.

The other hegemon is India, which has very fragile relations with Pakistan and China as well, creating a very non-peaceful situation in the region. Pakistan’s role in the Iran-Israel conflict was shown to be very violent and barbaric, but in reality, Pakistan played a very important role in maintaining peace in the Middle Eastern region. Pakistan’s relations with Iran were very important during this conflict, as Pakistan wanted peace, and that is why it did not interfere in that war and tried diplomacy and non-violent ways to solve the conflict.

Similarly during Indo-Pak conflict Pakistan was not the aggressor and defended itself against Indian strikes and opted for peace as soon as US president offered Peace mediations and ceasefire in the conflict for sustaining peace in South Asia and Middle east Pakistan’s role was very mature and very smartly planned that resulted in rise of Pakistan’s role in the current Global politics the role of Bilawal Bhutto as leader of the diplomatic war between Pakistan and India on the international forum also made huge impressions on the international world about Pakistan’s mature legislation and policy making.

The US-Pak alliance has re-emerged as a strategic counterbalance in South Asia.

The United Kingdom opened E-passports for Pakistan and removed it from the danger airspace list, improving relations with Pakistan and giving further importance to the global reputation of Pakistan. Pakistan, being a developing country, is very much dependent on global powers, but due to Pakistan’s geographical importance and being a nuclear state also give Pakistan a very highlighted image in the Asian as well as global geography, surrounded by violent neighbors and being in war.

Continuously Pakistan faced a lot of allegation and problems like terrorism, sectarian conflicts, violence by non state actors and militancy regardless of this all Pakistan managed to come out of the FATF grey list and now after this year’s conflict management strategies of Pakistan, Pakistan is again on the table with super powers for deals and more investments for betterment of economy and strengthening of statehood of Pakistan as well as development of industrial sector of Pakistan.

The US already plays an important role in economic support for Pakistan and now after the nomination of US President Donald J Trump for Noble peace prize Pakistan may get more Benefits, good relations and economic investments and might start a new foreign policy as Pakistan has proved itself as a mature country even during full scale war conditions listening to peace negotiations and opting for ceasefire. The Pakistani policy makers, if they do proper legislation for dealing with all superpowers with a balance and create a strong foreign policy, it can easily lead to a better developing future and better democratic relations between Sino-Pak, Pak-US, and the European region as well.

2025 is marked as a very important year for Pakistan’s global importance as it is the year with the most wars taking place in Central Asia, South Asia, and the Middle Eastern region, and due to the geography of Pakistan, it holds importance in all of these conflicts and can easily play a role of mediator or peace builder.

Pakistan avoided military escalation and sought peace, showcasing foreign policy maturity.

Pakistan’s current global political situation and power dynamics in South Asia is getting better every day with the mixture of Chinese arms and US military technology Pakistan is fighting external, internal and non state enemies while also engaged in diplomatic war with fragile neighbors and holding a better global geopolitical position as it is a developing country and requires support from the super powers and other developed countries.
